Location, Location, Location

So yesterday we met our realtor. Yep, our realtor. We’ve toyed around with the idea for a while and tried to do it ‘By Owner’ for a short time about this time last year I think. We decided to try and sell our house using a realtor and see what happens. If it sells, it sells. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. We’re okay with it either way. We would like to have a house more conducive to ministry (aka…parking). Our main criteria is that we remain in the same school district. So back to yesterday…we sign with the realtor, get a lockbox, they take some pictures. Today we get a sign in the yard and a phone call. Tomorrow we have a showing. Whoa, lol.

A Must See…

Here is a link to a great little video called One Solitary Life.  It’s been around for a while, but someone did a great job putting it together in this video.  Enjoy.

Pretty, Pretty Pictures…Part 1

Raindrops on Roses?!?

These are a few of my favorite things (people not included)…

  • My new Razr phone and the cool Mickey Mouse cover.
  • My pink Walkman MP3 player.
  • My camera.
  • My squishy pillow.
  • Flip-flops.
  • My gold cross pendant KT brought me from overseas.
  • Chuck Taylor’s.
  • My smashed pennies (especially the Disney ones).
  • My odd shade of green Bible with duct tape on it.
  • Men’s Old Navy PJ pants.
  • My computer (but not my keyboard or mouse).
  • Chap Stick Lip Butter.
  • My DVDs (some more than others).
  • My Mickey Mouse ears with my name on the back.
  • Blockus.

That’s just off the top of my head.
I was looking at my phone, MP3 player, and camera, thinking about how cool they all are. That’s how this all got started. Oprah should let me pick the stuff for that show she does about favorite stuff. Mine would be way cooler.

I’ll probably think of more later. I’m visualizing a photo essay here…

So, what are your favorite things?

G for Good Girl?

So I did this over at a site called Just Say Hi that rates your blog for you.

I approve of the rating, lol.

Here’s a couple of fun things at the same site…

New Address

It’s time for a move.
I’ve been blogging at WordPress for Complete In Christ and at Blogger for This Is Micki. Truth is, I like WordPress better. So its time to put them both at the same location. So if you’ve bookmarked the old blog address, you’ll have to change it to this new one. Sorry about that. Hope you love me anyway.

New Tunes…

In my surfing off the beaten path, I have also been browsing new music. I am not a fan of general Christian radio. It’s often boring and cookie-cutter. I like to spend my time listening to artists that stand out. I have found someone new, because sometimes you need new tunes. Shawn McDonald. He may not be new to some of you, but I found him a few days ago and am hooked. Kind of folksy, so it fits my hippie side.

Occupying Myself

So I’m sick. Which means a lot of sitting around being achy and doing nothing. I’ve watched some good movies (see previous post), started blogging again (loving that), and surfing the web. Now I surf the web on a regular basis. I am a firm believer that I will never reach the end of the Information Super Highway. It is vast. So I have taken to surfing off the beaten path that I normally cruise.

In the past 20 years, I have had 2, maybe 3, opportunities to take the Myers-Briggs personality test. Kevin and I have always gotten a kick out of the fact that he has scored Extrovert and I have scored Introvert. If you know us, you’ll shake your head at that. So I have found online some short versions of the test, just to see if I would score the same now that I am older, wiser, and more in tune with who I am. I did not score the same. I am an ENFP. I now score dominant Extrovert (thinking and intution), but with 2 parts Introvert (feeling and sensing). Here’s a great link to a great explanation of me.

Bleh…

I feel awful.
Obviously, I did not make it to the ladies retreat. That kind of bums me out because I wanted to spend the weekend with my sister-friend, Debby. Oh well. My poor ‘ole sick body has an upper respiratory infection and the beginning of bronchitis…yay. Good news is my hand is not broken. There was something on the x-ray, though. Calcification or something like that. Add in some other issues in my ankles and lower legs and what do you get? An order for a full body bone scan! Can you say Nuclear Medicine?

When I’m, sick, which is like, often, I like to watch all of these off-the-beaten-path movies we have stuck in the cabinets and on the shelves. The dusty ones. The old ones. The ones that people can’t believe you actually like. Today I am watching The Robe. An old classic about the Tribune who wins the robe of Jesus when the soldiers cast lots for it at His cruxifiction. It’s goooood. I think after this one I’ll watch a more recent one…Amazing Grace.

My mom brought me some sweet tea from Chick-fil-A. I have the lap-top, my Cars blanket, and the remote control. I think I’m good for now.

Goodness Gracious Mercy Me…

Taylor has the flu. Like the real, genuine, swab the inside of your nose flu. Joy. Now I’m feeling icky-icky poo-poo. But that’s not good because I’m supposed to leave tomorrow afternoon for a ladies retreat. Then there’s my hand. I haven’t mentioned that yet, have I? Yeah…it got closed in the church van door. I don’t think it’s really broken or anything, but it aches. I go in the morning to the orthopedic. Ugh.

The positive news from my life is that I have gotten to wear flip-flops for the past 2 days. It was a short-lived warm spell, but I was happy to go as close to barefoot as possible as is allowed in public.
