So I’m really liking this lady John McCain picked as his Vice Presidential running mate…Sarah Palin. See, this election cycle has been a bore to me. And when it hasn’t been a bore, it’s been icky. I’m no fan of Obama…like, at all. John McCain was not the Republican candidate that I wanted on the ticket (I was rooting for Huckabee). I’ve been planning on voting McCain, and he won me over quite a bit after the Saddleback Forum. But now…now he could be onto something with this lady governor from Alaska.

So in July she was asked about the VP position and she had this to say…
“As for that VP talk all the time, I still can’t answer that question until someone answers for me ‘What is it exactly that the VP does every day?’ I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in the administration. We want to make sure that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position.”

Isn’t that great? People are making a lot out of that quote, but I think its a great quote. She wants a job description before she takes the job. I know I would. Obviously someone answered the question for her. Then there’s this great bit from an article about her husband…
“Todd Palin is a veteran oil-field worker and commercial fisherman affectionately dubbed Alaska’s “first dude.” He’s a man who took college courses but does not have a degree, yet can hold his own in sophisticated circles, even hosting a reception for five former Alaska first ladies earlier this month.”

I think I like these people. I mean, he hosted a reception for Alaska first ladies. He has a sense of humor…that’s good seeing as he is a ‘first dude’.
