My niece made me some imaginary food tonight. I had a tiny toy plate of gingerbread, a tiny toy bowl of soup (kind unknown), and a tiny toy cup of Coke. It was the same tiny toy dishes my kids used to bring me their imaginary creations on to taste and eat. I realized tonight that I have had many cups to drink of varying imaginary beverages…and it doesn’t matter what the child says it is, they all taste the same.
