On Rice: Apparently, the world is running out of food. That’s what I heard on the news. So people are running to the stores to buy huge bags of rice. Our family, we are actually really big rice consumers. We like rice. But I admit I am very brand specific…Uncle Ben’s Converted White Rice. No quick minute stuff. No microwave stuff. No anything else stuff. Uncle Ben’s Converted White Rice. Cooked in our little red rice cooker…yum. It would be bad to have to eat some other rice. So I went to the store and bought 2 5 lb. bags. Gotta stock up, right?

On Rock ‘n Roll: The kids and I went to a rock show Friday night. Four Christian rock/metal bands played, the lead singer of one is in our collegiate ministry. We only saw Moment Later and the beginning of the set of the last band. Now I like rock and I like like loud and I like loud rock. But I was nursing a rather bad headache. Yeah…so every time I would get close to the stage (and the speakers) my head would actually get light and dizzy. I was thinking that my age might be setting in. Then it was confirmed when we saw the first song of the next band. The lead guitarist, complete with bushy hair and beard, did the typical head-banger thing over and over and over. At first it had full rock effect…cool. But after a good 5 minutes straight of it…it just looked funny. I giggled a little. Yeah, my age was setting in because then I was just out-and-out laughing…it was funny.
