Just Say No to Orthopedic Shoes

Who knew the day would come? The day I would actually purchase gel heel inserts…and put them in my Chuck Taylor’s. I’m either older and hip, or I have an older hip. I’m on an a rather intense hunt for some good flip-flops because apparently I am addicted and refuse to give those up as well. And when I say ‘good’, I mean something way more supportive than the 2 for $5.00 jobbies they have at Old Navy.

If only my feet, ankles, and legs would work right…

  • Girlfriend… can I relate!! Last summer after wearing flipflops most of the time, (having sprained my right ankle before Christmas 6 months prior), by August I could barely walk. I made a trip to the foot Dr (brain fart & can’t remember the correct doctor name just this second - hee hee) and fortunately I don’t have to put orthotics in … YET… but I have to wear proper shoes. Drat it all too - Doug & I were going to take ballroom dancing last Fall too. Oh well.. maybe next Fall.

Have you looked into Crocs flipflops. My sil has a pair and swears by them.

Hope your body co-operates and you find comfort!! You can’t live in the South without flipflops being part of the wardrobe ;-)

    Love ya xo

  • Hey girl! I’m sorry about your feet and hips :( I hate when my body doesn’t cooperate–which is much more frequently these days since I have age working against me. How is the house selling going? Do I even need to ask with the RE market the way it is right now? Hope you are doing well sweetie. Big hugs!

  • clever girlie - you are!

  • You are one of a kind Micki! LOL! Hey… please share where you got the cute little signs…
